R. Kyle Bourne
Principal

Mr. Bourne serves as a principal of Wade Read Capital and is responsible for overseeing the investment activities and operations of the company. He has been involved in the real estate investment industry for over 15 years and has participated in the acquisition or development of approximately $2.2 billion in real estate investments. Prior to joining Wade Read Capital, he was the Co-Founder and President of Bourne Financial Group, LLC, a seniors housing investment, finance, asset management, and development company, that acquired or developed 26 seniors housing communities across the country with over 3,200 beds and over $900 million in assets under management.

Mr. Bourne has a BA in Business Administration with a concentration in Real Estate and Finance from Baylor University and is an active member of the Young President’s Organization (YPO).

Ryan O. Smith
Principal

Ryan O. Smith is the co-founder and principal of Wade Read. He has been involved in the investment and financial services industry for over 20 years as an executive in the wealth management and investment advisory industry. His firms currently oversee nearly $3.5 billion of assets. During his career, Mr. Smith has participated in the underwriting and due diligence of hundreds of alternative investment offerings and raised nearly $2 billion of capital in private real estate, private equity, private credit, and venture capital. Mr. Smith has developed relationships throughout the U.S. with many leading institutional real estate, private equity and venture capital sponsors. These relationships provide Wade Read and its investors with unique access to a wide range of alternative investment opportunities across many asset classes.

Mr. Smith has a BS in Economics from the University of Utah as well as a Certified Regulatory and Compliance Professional (CRCP) ® designation from The Wharton School of the University of Pennsylvania.

Cameron R. Hellewell
Principal

Cameron R. Hellewell is the co-founder and principal of Wade Read. He is primarily responsible for all legal matters of the company, including overseeing the drafting of offering memoranda, the negotiation of agreements, and general corporate governance. Mr. Hellewell brings specific development experience to the Fund from his involvement with the development of residential communities, assisted living projects, office buildings and retail centers.

In addition to his relationships with key executives at broker-dealers and sponsors of offerings of real estate securities, through Mr. Hellewell’s involvement in the securities industry, he also enjoys strong relationships with regulators at the Financial Industry Regulatory Authority, the U.S. Securities and Exchange Commission, and the Utah Division of Securities, in addition to other key executives at broker-dealers and sponsors of securities offerings. Mr. Hellewell is a frequent presenter and participant at industry continuing education opportunities.

Mr. Hellewell earned a Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Utah and his juris doctorate from the Case Western Reserve University School of Law. He is also a member of the Utah State Bar, the District of Columbia Bar, and the American Bar Association.
